TREASURER’S REPORT
April disbursements were for the 8th grade night out and the gift certificate for AS. Total funds available are $5112.94.
DISCUSSION
Middle School Celebration in Honor of 8th Grade- to be held June 8. Theme of the event is “Semi-Formal in the City” and will be more than just a dance. All 6th, 7th and 8th graders are invited. The plan is to have activity stations, a graffiti wall, mini basketball hoop, electronic darts, fooz ball, etc., to attract some of the students who are not interested in dancing. There will be food and beverages and “city like” decorations. VO is leading this effort. PTO approved up to $600 for this event.
Student Agenda- KZ received an estimate for obtaining agendas for 6th - 9th grades which was very high. KZ agreed to reinvestigate to attempt to get a lower price estimate. Total paid last year was $280.
Election of New Officers- Next and final meeting will be held on June 6 to elect a new slate of officers. Attendees agreed to contact current and incoming middle school parents to request volunteers for four officers, two co-presidents, treasurer and secretary.
An Annual PTO Schedule- was provided to help plan for monthly PTO meetings and activities. The schedule was revised and is attached as an addendum to these minutes.
Informational Update- 6th grade organizer is still trying to schedule a date and activity. 8th grade event was held at Cranwell on April 27th. It was a success although the turnout was small.
