The Outing Club is open to middle school students only. The club staffs Mr. Shepardson, Mr. Sanders and Dan Lane all have great outdoor experience. This club will run through the months of September, October November, early December, April, May and June. A trip will take place either once or twice during one of those months, on a Saturday or Sunday. To find out when a trip is, look in the middle school bulletin, or come to this web site. If you would like to be kept updated on trips, please email Dan at dlane@lenoxps.org  . Once you join the Outing Club, you will be added to this web site and to the Outing Club email list. As an Outing Club member, you will be emailed when trip permission slips are ready to be handed out. If a trip gets canceled you will be emailed one hour before the scheduled trip happens. If a trip gets postponed, you will be emailed a week before the trip is rescheduled. All emails will be sent to your school email account. All middle school students can join the club anytime throughout the school year. Thank you for choosing the Outing Club, and we hope you will enjoy your time in this Club.

OUTING CLUB RULES

1.    Respect all staff, members, and parents in this club.

2.    No complaining about who you are paired with.

3.    Any trash you bring on a trip you take out with you.

4.    No electronics allowed. Cell phone should not be used unless calling a parent.  Digital cameras are fine to use.

5.    The staffs are not responsible for any broken items.

6.    No glass bottles.

7.    Do not get out of a watercraft unless we are docked at a boat docking area.

8.    No Sandals or flip flops allowed

9.    All Members must have a signed permission slip in order to attend a trip.

10. All Members are required to wear a live vest on all river trips.

11. All Members are required to wear a helmet on all bike trips at all times.

12. All dogs must be leashed and get along with all other dogs on any dog walk trip.

13. Members are not allowed to leave with any other members unless permission for a parent.

14. No splashing water at anyone on the Housatonic River Trip.

15. No Ramming your boat into anyone else’s
