Photography

The high school photography students began the semester by creating their own pinhole cameras. Students used oatmeal containers, wooden tea boxes, cigar boxes and more!

The pinhole camera is one of the simplest cameras, where there is an actual pin hole which acts as the aperture. There is no lens, therefore, it was up to each student to determine the focal length so that their photo would be in focus.

Students then began to take photograph with the cameras that most of us are more familiar with! They learned how to roll their own film, develop the film, and finally, they developed their own photographic prints.
