JUNIORS

Your junior year is a year of examining the educational opportunities that are available to you.

Please feel free to stop into guidance at any time to ask questions or to look through our college and university catalogs.

The following is the recommended guideline for juniors who are planning on attending colleges.

Late September/Early October: Register for the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT).

This year the testing date is October 20, 2007, here at the LMMHS.

*Sign up sheet located in the Guidance Department.

*$18.00 fee – must be prepaid (cash or checks made payable to LMMHS)

*7:30 AM - 11:45 AM please bring 2 #2 pencils and a calculator.

During the late winter and early spring months, we will be holding an SAT preparation course. The dates and times will be posted in our LMMHS BULLETIN. The fee for the sessions will soon be determined for Lenox High School Students and for non-Lenox students. These sessions usually run once a week for 6-8 weeks. The instructors will be James Hurley and Barry Nielsen.

******This years dates will be posted shortly. They will be held on Thursday evenings at 7:00 PM.******

The SAT course ends in time for the May 5th or the June 2nd SAT test administration. You must register for the May test no later April 1^st or May 6^th for the June test in order to avoid an extra charge. Please feel free to stop into our Guidance Office and pick up an SAT registration booklet and a sample test, or register on-line.

*Important Information for U.S. Registration Deadlines:

§ U.S. deadlines apply to students testing in the U.S., U.S. Territories, and Puerto Rico.

§ Mailed U.S. registration materials must be postmarked by the U.S. deadlines.

§ On March 1, only the SAT Reasoning Test™ is offered.

§ Sunday administrations occur the day after each Saturday test date, for students who cannot test on Saturday due to religious reasons.

§ The Language Tests with Listening are offered only in November and only at selected test centers.

**Important Information for International Registration Deadlines:

§ International deadlines apply to anyone testing outside of the U.S., U.S. Territories, and Puerto Rico.

§ Mailed international registration materials must be received by the international deadlines.

§ There is no late registration for international testing. Online and telephone re-registrations must be completed by the international deadline dates listed above.

§ Students registering through an International Representative must submit their paper registration with full payment by the early registration deadline.

§ On March 1, the SAT is not offered, outside the U.S., U.S. Territories, and Puerto Rico.

§ Sunday administrations occur the day after each Saturday test date, for students who cannot test on Saturday due to religious reasons.

§ The Language Tests with Listening are offered only in November.
