SENIORS
This will be an extremely
busy year for you, applying to colleges and universities, writing essays,
gathering your recommendations, and taking the SATs. This page will hopefully keep you up on your
deadlines so they will not pass you by.
September
1. Arrange for a parent conference with Mr. Peter Andersen or Ms. Stephanie Sears to discuss your college planning.
2. You should complete a resume of your high school work, activities, etc. This will help you in the college application process and will also benefit the faculty who will be writing your recommendations.
3. Take any necessary entrance tests.
The SATs are scheduled in the fall.
Registration booklets and sample tests are located in guidance.
4. Many schools require letters of recommendations. Notify those people you plan to use as references.
5. Come to Guidance to look through our catalogs and pick up applications. If your college / university requires an essay, begin planning with your English teacher.
6. Parents must phone the school if you are going to be
absent because of a college visit.
