2008 HIGH SCHOOL YEARBOOK ORDERS ARE NOW BEING TAKEN - The cost for the 2008 yearbook is $70.00.  Checks should be made out to LMMHS ’08 Yearbook and returned to Ms. Gernat as soon as possible.  Yearbooks will be distributed to seniors (who have prepaid) at the senior banquet on June 4th.  Juniors (who have prepaid) will receive them at the farewell if they attend.  All other yearbooks will be distributed on Thursday, June 5th, through Ms. Gernat’s office.

 

SNACK BAR – Beginning Tuesday, May 13 an after school snack bar will be available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.  This is being sponsored by members of the National Honor Society, high school Student Council, and Peer Education.

 

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

 

FOR ALL STUDENTS WHO ARE PLANNING ON ATTENDING THE PROM ON SATURDAY, MAY 10TH…..ALL DETENTIONS MUST BE MADE UP AND ALL DUES MUST BE PAID PRIOR TO THE PROM AND TAKEN CARE OF BY THE END OF THE DAY ON FRIDAY, MAY 9TH.  REMEMBER…YOU MUST BE IN ALL DAY ON FRIDAY, MAY 9TH IN ORDER TO ATTEND THE PROM. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE ABOVE OR TICKETS AND ELIGIBILITY TO ATTEND, PLEASE SEE MRS. O, MR. SANDERS, OR MS. GERNAT ASAP!

 

ALTERNATE P.E. – The junior and senior alternative p.e. trip is Thursday, May 22nd.

 

COMMUNITY SERVICE  Students in grades 9-11 – anyone looking for community service hours please see Mrs. Spoehr.  Ventfort Hall is looking for volunteers to help with their “American Girl” camp during the summer.

 

JUNIOR CLASS DUES – The following juniors owe dues and will not be able to purchase tickets or attend the prom unless they are paid in full:  Patrick Johnsen, Lincoln L’Epine, David Maggio, Ashley Murphy.

 

PROM INFORMATION – This year’s prom, “Jazz After Hours” will be held at the Lenox Town Hall on Saturday, May 10th from 8 – 11:00 p.m.  Pre prom viewing will be from 6 – 7 p.m. for parents to see the hall decorated and students who are attending the prom will have their walk through from 7 – 8 p.m.  Remember that everyone attending the prom must be at the prom by 8 p.m.

 

SENIORS!  LOOK THROUGH YOUR OLD PICTURES….We need them to have a slideshow.  Please turn them in to Ms. Getzen…..ASAP.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS

 

CRAFT CLUB – will not beheld this week.  We will meet again next Thursday, May 15th.

 

MID-SCHOOL YEARBOOK -  The Middle School Yearbook is going on sale April 23rd.  If you purchase one before May 31st, the cost is $11.00 each.  After May 31st, the cost will increase to $13.00 each.  Put your order in as soon as possible to take advantage of the discount.  All order forms are located in Mid School homerooms. 

 

OUTING CLUB -  The Mid School Outing club will be conducting a clean up of Roaring Brook Road, which runs along the base of October Mountain on Saturday, May 17th from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.  Interested students should see Mr. Shepardson or Mr. Sanders for permission slips.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

·          Notice to all students (MS and HS): Cell phone use is not permitted during the school day which means cell phones must be turned off.

·          Students are not allowed to use the video component of a video phone in the school building at any time.

·          Headphones are not to be worn during school hours.

·          Open containers are prohibited in hallways.

·          All students are reminded that they should stay off the rock wall in the front of the building and off the lawn above it at all times.

·          Skateboarding is not allowed on school property at any time. Skateboards must be enclosed in a case for transportation on the bus.

·          Throwing of snowballs is not allowed on school grounds at any time for any reason.

·          Students are not allowed in the Faculty/Staff Dining Room at any time for any reason. This includes before, during and after school. The soda machine is off limits!

·          For High School Students: Bookbags are to be kept out of the hallways at all times. Please keep your bookbags and other belongings in your classroom or locker. During lunch, bags should be left at your seat before you get your meal.

·          Do not bring valuables to school – Do not place them in your locker. If you must bring valuables or money to school, be sure to check them in with the Main Office.

·          DETENTIONS – will be held every day after school, starting promptly at 2:30 p.m. Mid School detention ends at 3:00 p.m. High School detention ends at 3:30 p.m. High School and Middle School detention will take place in the ISS room. There is no detention on half days.

·          LATE BUS – will run every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday leaving LMMHS at approximately 3:50 p.m.

·          LOCKERS ARE SCHOOL PROPERTY AND ARE SUBJECT TO SEARCH BY SCHOOL OFFICIALS.
